Ingredients and Preparation for Recheado Bangado
Ingredients:
- 4-5 medium-sized mackerels
- Recheado masala
- Coconut oil
- Semolina (rava)
- Turmeric
- Salt
Preparation:
- Clean the mackerels thoroughly and make a cut along one side. Optionally, make diagonal slits on the top side.
- Rub a little turmeric and salt on the fish and let them sit for a while. Since the masala contains salt, be cautious not to over-salt the fish.
- Stuff the cuts in the fish with recheado masala. Apply masala on both the inside and outside of the fish. Let the stuffed fish sit for half an hour to allow the masala to marinate well.
- Roll each fish in semolina.
- Heat a frying pan and add enough oil. Once the oil is hot, fry the fish on medium heat until both sides are golden and cooked through.
Anyone who loves mackerel should definitely try Recheado Bangado at least once.
