Hello and a warm welcome to MeghaBlogs!
I’m Megha Prabhudesai, the writer behind this blog.
For over twenty-five years, I’ve been living in Goa. During this time, I’ve immersed myself in the state’s natural beauty, ancient temples, vibrant culture, and rich traditions. I’ve experienced and embraced Goa so deeply that I often forget I wasn’t born a Goan. Though I became a Goan by marriage, it is my soul that truly connected with this land.
It is here in Goa that I discovered myself – found a space to express my writing, and an environment that nurtured my spiritual growth. Over the years, I’ve written for several Marathi newspapers and magazines across Goa.
Purpose of This Blog
Goa is not only a favourite destination for Indian tourists but also for travelers from around the world. While many visit to enjoy its beaches, casinos, clubs, and nightlife, they often overlook the other, deeper side of Goa – the lush greenery, the countless serene temples, the flavourful vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine, and the unique festivals and traditions that define its culture.
This blog is my humble attempt to showcase that real Goa – its spiritual and cultural richness – to a wider audience.
Through MeghaBlogs, I hope to bring you stories of Goa’s temples, festivals, traditions, food culture, and natural beauty.
Along with Goa, you’ll also find blogs here about my travels and experiences in the Konkan region — a place blessed with natural beauty just like Goa and located right next to it.
Thank you so much for visiting MeghaBlogs. I sincerely hope you’ll come back and explore more about Goa’s hidden gems, its heritage, and culinary traditions.
Warm regards,
Megha Prabhudesai
